Novare Actuaries & Consultants Botswana, the independent investment service provider in the diversified pan-African financial services group, Novare Holdings, has announced several new appointments, including the appointment of Zandisile Mabuya as Managing Director.
A BCom (Accounting) graduate from Rand Afrikaans University, Zandisile’s career began in 2001 in Nedcor’s American Express division. In 2003, he moved to Profile Media as a corporate researcher compiling fundamental data on JSE-listed companies, before joining Brait Specialised Funds in 2005 as a trainee research analyst.
Zandisile joined BJM Securities as an equity sales trader later that year and, since 2007, has been with Legae Securities as an equity investment research analyst covering companies in the telecommunications and food producing sectors.
He joined Novare Equity Partners in April 2012 as senior investment analyst responsible for research on potential investment opportunities within sub-Saharan Africa. In February 2013 he moved to Johannesburg and joined the Novare Actuaries and Consultants team as fund manager in the investment consulting division. In November 2014 he joined Novare Actuaries & Consultants Botswana as Managing Director.
One Giddie has been appointed an investment analyst. She holds BCom (Accounting) and Honours (Finance) degrees from Rhodes University. Following completion of her degree as the best student in the Finance Honours class of 2013, One joined Botswana Unified Revenue Services (BURS) in June 2014 as accounts officer in the finance division.
Kabo Hirschfeldt has been appointed an operations assistant. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from Botswana Accountancy College and started his career in 2010 at the Botswana Public Employees Union as a finance officer. In 2014 he joined Babereki Investments as an accounts officer before moving to Novare Botswana in October last year.
Lerang Owczarek has joined Novare Actuaries & Consultants Botswana as Office Manager, having previously worked for Orange Botswana, Rank Consult and Global Business Development Solutions. She subsequently worked for International Computers Limited and joined Glenrand MIB/AON Botswana in May 2013 as a pension fund accounts assistant.
