Ian Ferguson (Head of Cash Solutions, Nedgroup Investments):

Ian Ferguson recently joined Nedgroup Investments to focus on growing the Cash Solutions area. Ian was with previously with the broader Standard Bank group and most recently with STANLIB for the past 10 years. His roles included: International Fund Manager at SCMB Asset Management and Head of various STANLIB business units including Retail Sales and the Institutional Sales business which included the cash business. Until recently Ian was Head of Cash Solutions. During his tenure Ian was also responsible for - STANLIB Wholesale which focused on Corporates, Networks and the Retail Development business. Other roles included Head of Investment Marketing - Liberty Corporate Benefits and Liberty Strategic Partners. Ian holds an International Capital Markets Qualification from the Securities Institute of London.

Sean Segar (Cash Solutions, Nedgroup Investments)

Sean Segar recently joined Nedgroup Investments to focus on growing the Cash Solutions area. Sean was previously with the broader Standard Bank group for 16 years. His roles included: senior portfolio manager in SCMB Asset Management and head of various STANLIB business units including the institutional business which included the cash business. Until recently Sean was the Chief Investment Officer for property in the Liberty Group and was also a director of the Fountainhead Property Trust and Synergy Income Fund. Prior to joining Liberty Asset Management in 1995 Sean, a CA(SA), completed articles with Deloitte and worked in financial markets in London for 5 years. After completing the Advanced Management Programme through Oxford University in 2008, Sean has undertaken research for Oxford and recently submitted a dissertation entitled: “The role of capital markets in the economic development of Sub-Saharan Africa. Is the pro-active development of such capital markets what the region needs to step up economic development?”
