New Appointments at Medscheme

Vijay Pillay

Medscheme is pleased to announce the appointment of Raphael Mnisi as Senior Manager for Bonitas.

Raphael has extensive experience in the Operations environment, having been at Medscheme for over 15 years. His expertise extends to credit control, client liaison, call centre management, fund and information management.

In his role within Medscheme’s key accounts department he will ensure that relationships with key paypoints and other stakeholders are built and maintained as well as rendering a superior service to Members at paypoints.

Medscheme is pleased to announce the appointment of Vijay Pillay as Chief Information Officer. Vijay has a Bachelor of Commerce and MBA degrees both from Unisa which he has supplemented with a number of IT related qualifications.

He has also gained extensive experience spanning some 25 years in the IT environment where he has held a variety of positions across multiple disciplines. He joins Medscheme from First National Bank where he held the position of Chief Information Officer responsible for the Home Loans Business Unit, Contact Centres and Direct Sales Technologies.

With his wealth of experience and his strong bias for delivery, Vijay is well placed to further enhance Medscheme’s IT environment, which has been a strong source of differentiation for Medscheme and its clients.
