Zaid Ismail

Zaid Ismail - Senior Manager for Application Governance and Support services at Medscheme

Zaid Ismail has been appointed Senior Manager for Application Governance and Support services at Medscheme.

His role incorporates the establishment of a dedicated User Acceptance Testing team and the establishment of formal governance functions driven by business. His combination of business, Medical Aid, Financial Services as well as IT governance experience in the South African, UK and US environments, will be a great asset to Medscheme in the establishment of this new area.

Zaid has been operating in a senior role for several years now and his experience in business as well as IT has brought him exposure to both the public and private sectors. He has also had experience as an independent consultant to senior business and IT heads across various industries and brings with him a strong background in good governance that makes sense to business aligned with industry-recognised good practices supported by his formal accreditation as an ITIL Service Manager.

Dr Leandri Hattingh – Medscheme Medical Advisor to Fedhealth

Dr Leandri Hattingh has been appointed as the Medscheme’s Medical Advisor to Fedhealth.

She will join Medscheme’s clinical team in Cape Town to support the Health Policy Unit, as well as the clinical team in operations.

Hattingh has an MBChB from the University of Pretoria and is currently busy with an MPhil in Applied Ethics with specialisation in business and bio-medical ethics.

She joins Medscheme from Discovery Health where she was a clinical specialist involved in different areas of the medical scheme business. Before this she was a consultant at a health and behavioral risk management company and in general practice.
