New appointments at Lion of Africa Insurance

Robert Boccia

Lion of Africa Insurance have recently appointed Robert Boccia as Executive: IT Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Krush Moodley as Engineering Manager.

Boccia has more than 20 years of experience in the IT Industry specialising in areas of Business and IT alignment, including, Solution Delivery, Service Management, Business Analysis and Strategic Planning. He comes from a finance background and has previously held positions at Nampak, as Divisional IT Director and Finance Manager, more recently, LAW Holdings as Chief Technology & Information Officer (CTIO) and at Microsoft as CIO of Africa and Lead for Technology Strategy.

His qualifications include, among others, a certificate in CIO Practice and IT Leadership from Wits Business School, and a Diploma in Company Administration, as well as CIMA stage 1 & 2. Boccia is also a Founder member of the SA CIO Council. In his new role at Lion of Africa Insurance, Boccia will be responsible for all alignment of IT and business throughout the company.

Moodley has more than eight years of experience in the engineering and insurance industry. He comes from an engineering background and has previously held positions at Endress+Hauser as a Test Engineer and at Conlog as a Maintenance Engineer. His qualifications include BSc Honours in Engineering. In his new role at Lion of Africa Insurance, Moodley will be responsible for growing the book of engineering business.
