New appointments at ACE

CLAUDIA LEMON JOINS ACE INSURANCE LIMITED

Claudia Lemon has been appointed as Accident and Health: Corporate and Affinity Senior Underwriter for ACE Insurance Limited, South Africa effective 01 August 2006.

Claudia joins ACE from Regent Insurance where she ran the underwriting agency, specialising in corporate and scheme Accident and Health risks.

Claudia worked for AIG for six years as the National Accident and Health Underwriter and has gained considerable experience working for various Underwriting Agencies in the specialist area of Accident and Health including managing a Lloyds binder on behalf of a broking firm.

Commenting on Lemons appointment, ACE CEO Scott Pickering said: Im pleased to have someone with expertise and experience such as Claudias join the team at ACE.

ACE INSURANCE APPPOINTS FINANCIAL & OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Charmaine Silverman has been appointed Financial and Operations Director of ACE Insurance Limited, South Africa (ACE), effective 01 August 2006.

At ACE, Silverman will be responsible for the financial and operational management of the company, including compliance and regulatory responsibilities. On taking up her position, she will also join the board of directors of the company.

Silverman joins ACE from Gerling General Insurance of South Africa where she is currently Managing Director. During her seven-and-a-half year career at Gerling, she has held the role of Financial Director and General Manager Finance & Accounting. She has also held senior financial management positions at both the South African Special Risks Insurance Association and KPMG.
