New Appointments: Aon South Africa

Leo Morwe has been appointed to the board of directors of Aon South Africa, following his recent appointment to Chief Human Resources Officer of Aon Sub Sahara Africa.

Yulandi van Dyk has been appointed to the board of directors of Aon South Africa.

Yulandi has been fulfilling the role of Sub Sahara Africa Regional Controller in the Finance Team since January 2010.

Rob Göllnitz has been promoted to Head of Risk Consulting at Aon South Africa.

Rob joined Aon in May 2012 and previously worked for Alexander Forbes, and prior to that at Group Risk Management services/Eikos, as Director of their risk consulting service for 15 years. He has extensive experience in risk engineering, enterprise wide risk Management and alternative risk transfer. Rob has worked in the risk consulting sector for over 18 years. Part of his responsibilities during that time included the annual review and strategic decision making process with regards to the underwriting, placing and risk management of global corporate self-insurance programmes.

Robbie Rykenberg has been promoted to Head of Construction and Engineering Projects at Aon South Africa.

Robbie previously headed up the Glenrand MIB construction division and CEU underwriting managers for the engineering division of Santam. He has a wealth of knowledge in this sector and has been in construction insurance as a broker and underwriter for 25 years. Robbie brings a balance of experience both in corporate and general insurance to the table.

Leroy Moalusi has been appointed as the Manager for HR Operations at Aon South Africa.

Leroy worked at one of South Africa’s leading Private Hospital Groups for over eleven years, spending five of them as an HR Manager. In the HRM role he was responsible for the full Human Resources function for various hospitals (including Kimberley, Kathu and Pretoria) and also championed numerous projects and initiatives. He later joined Glenrand MIB in October 2010 as an HR Manager for the Corporate Division and was responsible for its five offices outside South Africa. Following the Glenrand MIB acquisition by Aon he was appointed as an HR Business Partner for Aon South Africa’s Corporate and Specialty divisions and has been responsible for various branches and the commercial department for the past twelve months. Leroy has a Diploma in Bookkeeping, a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (HRM) and also completed a Management Development Programme through GIBS.

Gurshan Overmeyer has been appointed as the Regional Manager of the Western Cape at Aon South Africa.

Gurshan is an energetic and ambitious person that has a passion for the insurance industry and has developed a mature approach to any task he undertakes. He has worked for Santam for the past eight years and looks forward to working for a well-respected organisation such as Aon.
