New Appointment at Lion of Africa Insurance

Denny Jansen has recently been appointed to Lion of Africa Insurance, as Senior Technical Underwriter: Casualty. He will be assisting with the development of Lion’s specialist casualty unit.

Jansen began his career in the insurance industry in 1960 and has worked for companies such as SA Eagle and Swiss Reinsurance where he held the position of Product Manager responsible for Liability, Motor and Personal Accident business. His most recent position was Reinsurance Manager at MUA Insurance Company Limited.

Jansen has been involved in training at the Swiss Insurance Training Centre (SITC) in Zürich, as well as at the College of Insurance in Johannesburg.

He qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) in 1969 and his Fellowship (FCII) followed in 1973. From 1980 to 1992 he was the CII examiner for South Africa for the liability subjects.

Jansen is a life member of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng and an Associate of the Institute of Marketing Management
