Mutual & Federal appoints new Executive for Brand, Customer and Transformation

27 November 2013 Mutual & Federal

Mutual & Federal, South Africa’s second largest short-term insurer, has announced the appointment of a new Executive to lead the Brand, Customer and Transformation function. Nangula Kauluma joins the short-term insurer on 1 January 2014 from Old Mutual Emerging Markets. Her primary responsibility will be the delivery of the brand, customer and transformation strategies in alignment with the broader Old Mutual Group objectives.

Kauluma replaces incumbent Vuyo Lee who will leave Mutual & Federal at the end of November 2013.

Nangula has been with the Old Mutual Group since 2006 - undertaking various marketing and communications roles in Old Mutual Africa and Old Mutual Namibia during this time. Her most role before joining Mutual & Federal was Marketing Executive in the Old Mutual Mass Foundation Cluster. Prior to joining Old Mutual, Nangula had worked in the tourism, pharmaceutical and tertiary education sectors in Namibia.

Raimund Snyders, Mutual & Federal Chief Executive comments on the appointment: "I’m confident that in Nangula – with her credentials and experience within the Group – we have found the right person to help position the Mutual & Federal brand proposition in South Africa and Rest of Africa, drive our customer-centricity journey and deliver on our transformation goals. The fact that she was appointed from within the Old Mutual Group is an exciting proposition as it aligns with our collaborative efforts to leverage the distribution and customer capabilities with Old Mutual and Nedbank.”
