Mutual & Federal appoints Finance Director

Mutual & Federal, a member of the old Mutual Group, has today announced the appointment of Jaco van der Sandt as Finance Director, with effect from July 2013.

Peter Todd, Chief Executive Officer of Mutual & Federal says: “Jaco is no stranger to Mutual & Federal. He has, for a number of years, been involved on our audit and undertook a major review of the business in 2010.” Van der Sandt has also been the audit partner on Credit Guarantee, Mutual & Federal’s subsidiary in the domestic and export credit insurance market.

Van der Sandt will join the short-term insurer from KPMG where he has had extensive experience in an audit and consulting capacity in the short-term industry in South Africa, Australia and numerous African countries.

“I am delighted to have someone of Jaco’s calibre join the executive team. I am also confident that he will add value to our vision of becoming the insurer of choice in southern Africa and beyond,” Todd concludes.
