Masthead appointment boosts service offering

Masthead has appointed Mimi Pienaar as Head of Practice Management with effect from 1 July 2010. In this newly created Exco role, Pienaar will set the direction and strategy of Masthead’s practice management offering, also assuming responsibility for the competence and professionalism of Masthead’s practice management consultants.

Pienaar brings a wealth of experience to Masthead, having worked across a wide range of areas in the financial services industry since 1984. Her experience includes both national and executive management positions.

Since 2006, Pienaar has managed her own business, specialising in the application of employment legislation and HR practices within financial service providers. In 2007 she focused on practice development, working through a specialist service provider in that field with advisors and consulting with independent brokers.

Qualified with a BA (Psychology & Criminology) and MPhil (Advanced Labour Law), Pienaar also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. She is currently completing her Compliance Certificate through the University of Cape Town.
