Madhav S Kumar has been appointed as Head of Individual Segment for Personal Insurance, AIG Africa

AIG is pleased to announce that Madhav Kumar has been appointed to the role of Head of Individual Segment for Personal Insurance, AIG Africa. He will be responsible for managing all aspects of Individual Personal Insurance including key strategic implementations and product innovation for both personal motor and property products across Africa.

With a career spanning 18 years Madhav brings a wealth of experience from the insurance industry in India and Africa. Madhav started his career with CIGNA Healthcare Management in India and joined AIG in India as part of the start up team for the Personal Lines profit centre. He held a number of roles in Tata AIG with his last role there being the Vice President and Zone Head in Mumbai for consumer and commercial lines. Prior to joining AIG South Africa he was the Head of Individual for AIG Analytics in India, and had headed up TransAfrica Assurance in Uganda.

Madhav holds a MBA in Finance from PSG College of Technology, affiliated to Bharatiar University.
