Lion of Africa Insurance appoints new Branch Manager & Engineering Marketing Underwriting Manager

Lion of Africa Insurance have recently appointed Steven Isaacs - Branch Manager & Marcel De Jager - Engineering Marketing Underwriting Manager.

Isaacs has more than 30 years of short term insurance experience and has previously held various leadership roles including Regional Sales and Branch Manager, Absa Insurance Company where he assisted in obtaining growth in the independent market; Group Manager, Mutual & Federal Insurance Company.

His qualifications include, among others, a Master of Business Administration Degree and a Higher Diploma in Business Management. In his new role at Lion of Africa Insurance, Isaacs will be responsible for all commercial sales throughout the Johannesburg region.

De Jager has more than 17 years of experience in the Engineering Industry specialising in areas of Project Management, Solution Delivery, Business Analysis and Strategic Planning.

De Jager previously held positions at Zurich Insurance Company as Engineering Manager and various other organisations in the UK and US. His qualifications include a National Diploma in Civil Engineering, as well as a Certificate in Civil Engineering and Construction Contract Law.

In his new role at Lion of Africa Insurance, De Jager will be responsible for the Marketing and Underwriting of all Engineering lines.
