Kathy Davey has been appointed as Head of Equity Research at Ashburton Investments

Kathy Davey has been appointed as Head of Equity Research at Ashburton Investments.

Kathy moves into this role from the position of investment analyst on the Ashburton Africa Equity Opportunities Fund. Kathy began her career as an equity research analyst covering listed Pan-European Retail stocks at Bear Stearns International in the UK in 2007. In 2010, Kathy moved back to South Africa, where she joined Absa Capital/Barclays to cover the South African listed retail sector. Kathy joined Ashburton Investments in February 2013 as an equity research analyst for the African Equity Opportunities Fund.

She has a Bachelor of Commerce (IT and Accounting) degree from The University of the Witwatersrand, a Masters of Professional Accounting degree from the University of Southern Queensland, and is a CFA charter holder.
