Karl Bishop appointed as head of Santam Specialist Real Estate

Karl Bishop has been appointed as head of Santam Specialist Real Estate. He previously held the position of head: Niche Business within Santam Specialist. In his new role he will oversee the rebranded C-Sure entity, now known as Santam Specialist Real Estate, a new division within Santam.

Karl has extensive experience in the financial sector, having worked at several financial institutions, including KPMG and Standard Bank where he held the position of financial manager for the property finance division. Prior to joining Santam in 2012, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer at FNB Insurance.

“The aim is for the business to provide insurance solutions for the broader real estate industry and not only the sectional title market, as it was in the past. We are styling ourselves as an innovative solution provider with the ability to tailor a solution to a specific client’s needs,” says Karl.

Karl holds a B.Com Honours, Chartered Accountant degree from the University of Natal and a MBC from Henley Business School.
