Glacier by Sanlam appoints new Research head
Liesl-Mari de Jager has been appointed Head of Glacier Research with effect from 1 January 2009. De Jager previously held the position of Risk and Compliance Manager at Glacier.
She will head up the team of highly qualified investment analysts, who support the sales function within Glacier by providing independent opinions on collective investment funds, monitoring and analysing the managed solutions and distributing various investment tools to assist financial intermediaries in making better investment decisions.
Anton Raath, chief executive of Glacier, said that De Jager’s extensive experience within the financial services industry, coupled with her track record at Glacier, made her the perfect candidate for the role.
Prior to joining Glacier, De Jager was a management consultant, equity analyst and management trainee at Solve, SIM, and De Beers.
She has been with Glacier for six years and holds a BA (Hons) (Ind. Psychology) and an MBA from USB.
