Glacier by Sanlam appoints new Finance head

Ignatius Hagglund has been appointed Head of Finance at Glacier with effect from 1 August 2011.
Having joined Sanlam in 2007, Ignatius has acquired experience in valuations and transaction structuring which will prove invaluable in driving Glacier’s business strategy.
His key responsibility at Glacier is to lead the finance team, and to work closely with the different business units in aligning Glacier’s vision with that of the overall group.
Anton Raath, chief executive of Glacier, said that Ignatius’ financial skills and experience within the group made him the ideal candidate for the role.
Ignatius is a Chartered Accountant and holds Higher Diplomas in Taxation and International Taxation.
