CIB Insurance Administrators (CIB) is proud to announce the appointment of Gerhard Oosthuizen as CIB National Head of the AIFA portfolio. Gerhard’s appointment indicates CIB’s commitment to furthering its existing relationship with AIFA.

Jon-Jon Smit, Sales Director at CIB Insurance Administrators (CIB), says, “We are very pleased to have Gerhard accept this position as part of our expanding footprint. He certainly has the skills and expertise to lead CIB’s strategic focus into AIFA countrywide, which offers professional financial services in both long- and short-term insurance. He has a wealth of knowledge and has developed strong relationships within the AIFA broking environment.”

Oosthuizen joined ABSA Brokers in November 2000 as a Commercial Short Term Broker. He achieved the accolades of Platinum Broker and winner from 2004 until October 2011. In November 2011 he joined CIB as Provincial Director of the KwaZulu-Natal branch.

Oosthuizen is very excited to have been afforded the opportunity and is looking forward to playing a greater role in CIB’s progression towards achieving its generalist insurance licence and enhancing its footprint as a significant player within the short-term insurance market.
