George Brits appointed CEO Stanlib

STANLIB today announced the appointment of George Brits, currently Chief Executive of STANLIB Asset Management, as Chief Executive of STANLIB Limited with effect from 1st June 2006.

The appointment date coincides with the date that the current Chief Executive of STANLIB Limited, Bruce Hemphill, will be taking over the reigns at Liberty Life.

Georges current responsibilities as Chief Executive of STANLIB Asset Management will be carried over to the position of Chief Executive of STANLIB Limited. 

Patrick Mamathuba has been appointed as Head of Investments and is spearheading STANLIBs transformation from a generalist asset manager to a multi-specialist manager.  This transformation is a key step in aligning STANLIB with a greater demand by clients for higher value add in investment services.
