Fast-growing insurance software provider Genasys Technologies has named Heather Lawson as the company’s first-ever Vice President of Group Operations, based in the UK.

The promotion reflects a continued upwards trajectory for Heather, who joined Genasys in 2022 as Head of the Project Management Office, and for Genasys as the company looks to bolster its operational management in line with recent business expansion.

In her new role, Heather will set the strategic direction for Genasys’ operations and project delivery, working with the leadership team and wider business units to enhance customer satisfaction, drive growth, and champion innovation across the organisation. She will also oversee internal Genasys Group projects designed to drive positive progress throughout the company.

Heather will continue to report directly to Genasys’ Group CTO and co-founder, Craig Olivier, who now leads the business’s ongoing product development and technology innovation from the company’s new South African HQ in Cape Town, following the creation of two new business units, announced in March 2023.

Craig Olivier, Group CTO, Genasys, says: “At Genasys, we are focused on delivering technology that makes insurance better for everyone – from brokers and insurers right through to the policyholder. As our new VP of Operations, Heather will play a pivotal role in enabling our expanding team and growing number of clients to deliver tangible, transformational change in days and weeks instead of months and years. Heather has shown remarkable leadership qualities during her time as Head of PMO and we have no doubt that her knowledge, energy and experience will continue to drive Genasys to new heights”.

Heather adds: “As we invest in elevating the Genasys product offering, it’s equally crucial that we focus on the tools, resources, and processes needed to enable innovation that can be genuinely game-changing for everyone. In this new role, my focus is on driving operational efficiency across the business, freeing up the team to focus on what matters – delivering technology solutions and services that add real value to our clients and their customers”.
