FPI announces new Board of Directors

The Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI) is pleased to announce the election of Kim Potgieter, CFP®, and Wouter Fourie, CFP®, to its Board of Directors. In addition, Warren Wheatley, CFP®, and Denver Fortuin, CFP®, have been re-appointed as non-executive directors. They will serve a two year term.

FPI Chairperson, Sankie Morata, CFP®, said: “The new and re-appointed members are notable professionals who are deeply committed to FPI, and its vision. They have been members of the Institute for many years and have a wealth of knowledge and experience. I am confident that they will strengthen FPI’s position in the industry and its contribution to all South Africans.”

The FPI Board of Directors have an integral role to play in the Institute’s growth strategy and overall success. Together with the FPI executive team, lead by FPI CEO, Godfrey Nti, they are responsible for deciding on appropriate governance structures, guiding and overseeing the implementation of the business development strategy.

Commenting on the appointments, Nti said: “Our Board of Directors is a vital structure that supports FPI staff and members in achieving our vision of professional financial planning for all. We are looking forward to the valued contribution of the new directors in helping achieve this vision.”
