Andrew Coutts named MD Commercial at First Link

Andrew Coutts has been promoted to the position of Managing Director, Commercial, at First Link Insurance Brokers, the nationally represented short-term insurance specialists and member of the FirstRand financial services group.

Coutts was previously Financial Director with line responsibility for the Finance and Information Services Divisions.

Before joining First Link in 2003, he was an Associate at JP Morgan, initially with responsibilities as a financial and tax controller and later as a marketer on the Debt Capital Markets desk.

Andrew Coutts is a chartered accountant who completed articles at Ernst & Young. He holds a B. Comm. degree from the University of Port Elizabeth and a Higher Diploma in Accounting from the University of Natal (Durban).

Bishop appointed CFO of First Link

Karl Bishop has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of First Link Insurance Brokers, the short-term insurance broking arm of the FirstRand financial services group.
He was previously manager, financial accounting, at Standard Bank Property Finance and prior to that was a senior accountant at Sasol Oil.

Karl Bishop, a chartered accountant, completed articles at KPMG and holds a B.Comm. Honours degree from the University of Natal (Durban).

Donaldson appointed MD Personal Lines at First Link

Debbie Donaldson has been appointed Managing Director, Personal Lines, at First Link Insurance Brokers, a member of the FirstRand financial services group and its short-term insurance specialist.

Donaldson was previously Executive, Marketing and Communication at TransUnion, the risk information company and credit bureau. Prior to that, she held a series of executive positions at TransUnion, with core focus on insurance business, including the healthcare portfolio and responsibility for medical business development.

Debbie Donaldson was a member of the South African Insurance Association steering committee for the Insurance Data System and was also on the SAIA forensics committee.

She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Marketing Diplom
