Ecsponent Financial Services appoints new Head of Internal Compliance

Schalk Burger has been appointed as Head of Internal Compliance at Ecsponent Financial Services (EFS), as of 3 February 2020.

Mr. Burger, who previously served as compliance officer at risk management and compliance specialist consulting firm, Masthead, moves into EFS with an impressive résumé beginning with a BCom in Economics and International Trade from North West University, as well as qualifications in accounting, investment management and compliance.

He has held several advisory and investment titles with blue-chip financial services companies including Discovery, Liberty and PSG, and brings with him a wealth of experience in the implementation of governance and compliance risk management frameworks and international best practice which will bolster EFS’s reputation as a world-class financial services provider.
