Norton Rose Fulbright director, Charles Ancer, has been appointed a member of the Law Society of South Africa’s (LSSA) Tax Matters and Exchange Control Committee.

The Committee comments on applicable policy documents and draft legislation that affects the public interest and the legal profession. The Committee, through the LSSA, also addresses Parliamentary portfolio committees on relevant discussion documents (such as the Davis Tax Committee), policy documents and draft legislation and interacts with SARS and the South African Institute of Tax Practitioners.  The Committee comprises six members, nominated by the four provincial Law Societies, the Black Lawyers Association and the National Association of Democratic Lawyers.
