Business Development and Retention
Natasha Wally is the Relationship & Sales Leader in the Corporate Division. Prior to joining Zurich, Natasha formed part of the Corporate New Business Team at Marsh. Her background encompasses a compelling mix of Insurance Risk and Broking experience.
Varuna Naidoo joined Zurich as Underwriting Services Manager from Marsh Insurance Brokers where she was part of the Risk Solutions team leading the Impact Division. She has an in depth knowledge of the short term insurance environment at both a local and international level.
Casualty
Nikki Juma recently joined Zurich as Head of Casualty. Prior to joining the Company, she was a Senior Casualty Underwriter at Chartis. Nikki has extensive South African and international insurance experience having worked for Stalker Hutchinson and Admiral focusing on large global corporate businesses. Her area of expertise is casualty underwriting having headed up Admiral’s Liability and Other Acceptances Division.
Financial Lines
Nick Shutte who joined the industry some 16 years ago, most recently as Managing Director at PI Financial Risk Services, a brokerage specialising in Professional Indemnity, joined Zurich in May 2012. In this role, as a specialist in his field, Nick leads the Financial Lines team.
Nobuhle Nkosi, after completing her studies, joined the AIG Graduate Programme. In 2007, she joined the Financial Lines Division as an Underwriter and was subsequently appointed as a Specialist Financial Lines Underwriter having attended Financial Lines University in Paris and New York. In 2010, Nobuhle was promoted to Senior Underwriter (PI Champion for South Africa) and in September 2011 she joined Zurich’s Global Associate Program, a development and leadership programme which encompasses technical, strategy and leadership as well as international work experience. She currently fills the role of Senior Financial Lines Specialist.
Carmen Brophy is an admitted attorney who joined the short term insurance industry in 2010 after practicing as a Litigation Attorney for 3 years. Prior to joining Zurich as a Financial Lines Underwriter, Carmen held the same position at SHA.
