Elvin has over 25 years of extensive, executive management experience in prominent organisations in South Africa. He was appointed Africa Financial Manager at Reuters Limited in 1986, joined De Meyer & Associates in 1996 as a Management Consultant. In 1998, he joined Motorola SA as Finance Director before moving to ICL SA a year later as Finance Director. He held this position for 2 years and was then promoted to the role of Managing Director.

In 2009, Elvin joined Absa Bank’s Group Technology Division as Chief Operation Officer.

In addition, Elvin has served on the Board of organisations like Fujitsu Services, ICL SA, Motorola SA and also served as Chairman for ICL Africa Subsidiaries from 2001 to 2003.

Elvin has an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School, is a past finalist of the Associate of Chartered Secretaries and a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He is a qualified Chartered Global Management Accountant and is a member of the Institute of Directors.
