Bidvest Insurance appoints Theuns Prinsloo to head up Actuarial BIG department

Theuns Prinsloo has joined the Bidvest Insurance Group to take up the position of Head: Actuarial in the company’s actuarial department. Prinsloo and the team are responsible for developing and maintaining pricing models for both the Short Term and Life insurance businesses.

Prior to joining Bidvest Insurance, Prinsloo was the Executive for Sales Enablement & Optimization at Alexander Forbes Insurance and boasts a Masters Degree in Risk Management (Cum Laude). Prinsloo had also worked his way up the corporate ladder at Nedbank in his early career, followed by positions as an Actuary at FNB in the eBucks division and an Actuarial Manager at Deloitte in their Capital Markets Division.

Prinsloo believes that Bidvest Insurance has an empowering culture and coupled with his experience and business skills will enable him to play a role in growing the company’s profitability. “My goal as part of the leadership team at Bidvest Insurance, is to help with innovative solutions that deliver value to our clients’ whilst growing market share and profitably”, states Prinsloo. “I have no doubt that the company is positioning itself to become the next financial services giant so starting this journey with them is extremely exciting.”
