Astute announces new organisational structure
Astute, the specialist information technology company that provides data exchange services to financial services companies and intermediaries, has announced a new organisational structure as it prepares for the next phase in its development.
Recently appointed Managing Director, Jacques Rossouw said the intention was to build on Astute’s status as the leading independent interactive electronic information exchange portal for the financial services industry by aligning the group with the latest practices.
With this mind, the organisational changes effective immediately include Willie Snyman, previously Business Development Executive, taking on a new role as General Manager of Astute.
Mr Snyman’s role will be to support Astute’s operations, with a focus on non-technical operations, branding, public relations and marketing support.
Duncan Bussio has been appointed Head of Information Technology and Ovadia Kaempf as Head of Finance. Marsha Koekemoer has been appointed Product and Portfolio Executive, while Darryl Smith is the new Business Development Executive. Nivashni Naguran is the newly appointed Human Resources Manager.
Each of these appointees is also a member of Astute’s executive committee.
Other changes include the introduction of competency-based structures within the core information technology function.
Each area is managed by a team leader, with Paul Noble responsible for development and Paul Innes for business analysis. Candice Pearman looks after the project office, and Dylan Moodley information technology operations.
Mr Rossouw commented: “I’m delighted to announce these appointments as Astute embarks on a major new phase in its development. In this regard, we are fortunate to have a team of people of the highest calibre and with significant experience.
“The structural changes will also assist Astute in being more agile and efficient in delivering technology solutions to South Africa’s fast-changing financial services industry”
