Ashburton appoints new Managing Director

Ashburton, the Jersey-based active investment managers has appointed Peter Bourne as the new Managing Director. Bourne, who takes over from former MD, Trevor Falle, has been with the FirstRand group for the past 20 years. 

Bourne, a native South African, brings with him 24 years of experience as an investment professional. Prior to his appointment, Peter ran the investment division of the FirstRand Groups Wealth Segment, of which Ashburton is a part. 

Commenting on his appointment, Peter said: "From a personal and FirstRand Group level, this role offers exciting challenges as we look to expand our international presence. Trevor Falle continues as Chief Executive of FirstRand International Asset Management (FRIAM), Ashburtons holding company.
