Andre Snyman, CEO of Consumer Assist, South Africa's largest debt counselling company was elected vice president of the Debt Counsellors Association of South Africa.

The Debt Counsellors Association represents all debt counsellors registered in terms of the National Credit Act. At present just over 3 000 registered debt counsellors are handing the affairs of more than 150 000 severely indebted South Africans - and that figure is growing at around 10 000 a month. Consumer Assist which has branches nationwide uses world-first technology designed by their company to ensure rapid processing and careful management of its high caseloads.
