Appointment of Sumaya Parker as CFO Signals Strategic Acceleration at PPS Investments

PPS Investments has appointed Sumaya Parker as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective July 2025. This key leadership appointment reinforces the company’s focus on financial discipline, strategic resilience, and member-focused innovation as it continues to expand its investment capabilities and operational maturity.
Sumaya is a Chartered Accountant who brings more than 20 years’ experience across the financial services sector. She has spent her career leading finance teams, managing complex reporting structures, and delivering strategic insights that drive business performance. Her appointment comes at a time when PPS Investments is sharpening its long-term vision to better serve South Africa’s graduate professionals.
Sumaya previously served as Head of Finance at Sanlam Investments: Multi Manager, where she played an integral role in aligning finance operations to business strategy. She oversaw the development of a comprehensive reporting ecosystem that enabled executive decision-making, introduced technology-driven efficiencies across finance processes, and guided critical engagements with internal committees, boards, and regulatory stakeholders.

Her professional journey began at PwC, where she completed her articles and led audit engagements for several prominent financial institutions and corporates, including Capitec Bank, Futuregrowth, Sanlam, and various pension funds.
Sumaya holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree from the University of Cape Town and is a qualified Chartered Accountant through the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). She further advanced her executive capabilities by completing the Management Development Programme (MDP) at the University of Stellenbosch Business School. Her academic grounding complements her extensive professional experience, equipping her to navigate the complexities of this new role.
