StJohn Bungey has been appointed as the new Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Blue Ink Investments, a leading South African manager of fund of hedge funds which provides investment services for retail, private and institutional clients. Bungey brings with

Prior to joining Blue Ink Investments, Bungey was a partner and portfolio manager at Praesidium Capital. He began his career in 1992 in the South African debt capital markets before joining BoE Private Bank in 1996 where he held several roles related to operational and credit risk management. In 1998, he was appointed to set up BoE’s multi-management division which was later merged with Edge Group. In 2003, Bungey was part of a management buyout of Edge Capital from BoE. He was a director and portfolio manager of several local and international fund of hedge funds.

At Blue Ink, Bungey will be tasked with focusing Blue Ink’s investment process and hedge fund strategy.
