And another makes three

17 January 2006 Angelo Coppola

Thabo Dloti has been appointed deputy MD of Old Mutual South Africa. Dloti joins Paul Hanratty and Peter de Beyer as one of three Deputy MD's responsible for the Old Mutual Group's South African operations.

Dloti's appointment follows his assumption of additional responsibilities as head of Old Mutual's Investment Cluster - a position he was appointed to in October 2005.

As Deputy MD, Dloti will report directly to MD Roddy Sparks and will fulfill a key decision making role in the group.

Dloti will remain as CEO of Old Mutual Asset Managers South Africa (OMAM (SA)) and will keep his seats on the boards of Old Mutual Namibia and Old Mutual Specialised Finance (OMSFIN).

He has also joined the Old Mutual South Africa executive committee and is being appointed as Chairman of Old Mutual Propert.

He will sit on the Old Mutual SA (OMSA) board of directors but not the Old Mutual Life Assurance Company SA (OMLACSA) board, maintaining the independence of the investment businesses from one of their most important clients, the life company.
