Allianz Commercial South Africa appoints Anton Kolbe as new Chief Financial Officer

Allianz Commercial today announced that Anton Kolbe will become the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Allianz Commercial South Africa, with effect from October 20, 2025, subject to the usual regulatory approval.

He will succeed Kevin Barnes, who has decided to leave Allianz after 14 years at Allianz.

Anton Kolbe will directly report to Thusang Mahlangu, CEO of Allianz Commercial South Africa.
He joined Allianz Commercial (Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty) in 2024 as Financial Controller for South Africa.

Prior to joining Allianz, he held senior roles in auditing and finance at RGA for 8 years and at PwC South Africa for 5 years. Anton Kolbe holds CA (SA) and B. Com Accounting qualifications.
