Allianz Global Assistance has appointed Sharon Molotlegi as Travel and Assistance Manager effective February 1, 2017. Based in Johannesburg, Sharon brings significant experience to the role, which will enable her to manage and grow the portfolio across the continent.

Allianz Global Assistance has offices in 34 countries and insures 21 million customers annually. It provides travel insurance coverage for pre-paid, non-refundable trip expenses, reimbursements for covered trip cancellations and unexpected travel delay expenses, as well as emergency medical and dental treatment, emergency medical transportation, baggage delay, baggage loss and more. All travel and assistance insurance in South Africa is underwritten by Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) South Africa, an authorized financial services provider - FSP 16722.
