Deon Venter, Head of Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) in Africa

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) appointed Deon Venter as Head of Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) in Africa effective August 1, 2020. He reports to Eva Poujardieu, ARC’s Regional Manager for the Mediterranean and Africa Region at AGCS and Thusang Mahlangu AGCS CEO in South Africa.

Deon joined AGCS in August 2019 as a Senior Risk Consultant. He began his career with Group Five Civil Engineering in 2014, as a Site Engineer. He later accepted an opportunity at a consultancy firm, EDS Engineering Design Services, with specific interests in planning, analysis and design aspects within the civil engineering industry. He has a wealth of experience in the analysis and detailed design of reinforced concrete and structural steel as well as managing projects and clients. Deon holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Honors in Structural Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
