acsis announces changes to its board

06 December 2006 acsis

acsis, a leading independent asset consulting and financial planning company, is pleased to announce two changes to its board of directors.

The acsis board have extended the term of directorship of Dr Frene Ginwala, former Speaker of the National Assembly, for a further two years.  She has also been elected as non-executive deputy chair for this period.  Mark Barnes continues to be the non-executing chair of the board. Furthermore, Nku Nyembezi-Heita, Chief Officer of Group Strategy and M&A of the Vodacom Group, has been appointed as a non-executive director for a two-year period.

CEO of acsis, Andrew Bradley, says that these appointments will contribute significantly to the business on a number of levels and are key in the ongoing transformation of the business.  "At acsis, we recognise the important role of women in society, both as decision-makers in business and as our clients.  Both Frene and Nku are uniquely positioned to provide us with the insights and support we need in this regard as we grow our business," he says.

According to Bradley, Ginwala's understanding of corporate governance and strategy has contributed significantly to acsis continued growth and success over the past two years.  He specifically points out that her insights into the company's BEE roll-out policy and initiatives have been invaluable.

Nyembezi-Heita brings an impeccable track record and extensive knowledge of the broader financial services industry. Her background, experience and network will add value to acsis and the board. Prior to joining Vodacom, Nyembezi-Heita was CEO of Alliance Capital in South Africa. "We are confident that Nkus appointment to our board will be a real asset to our business" comments Bradley.
