Deon Olckers.

ACORD, the insurance industry’s global data standards and services association, today announced that Deon Olckers will join the organization as Representative for South Africa, effective immediately.

“We’re very excited to have someone with Deon’s strong experience and knowledge of the local South African market as part of the ACORD team,” said John Bissell, ACORD Senior Vice President of Global Operations. “Several major firms are already implementing ACORD Standards in South Africa, but there is a growing appetite among insurers and brokers to manage their data more effectively in the face of industry regulations. The time is right for us to have someone on the ground moving things forward.”

“I look forward to helping the market realize its ambitions for efficiency and competitiveness,” said Olckers. “ACORD is the right organization to accomplish those goals, and I am delighted to be joining them.”?
