ACORD announces three new Directors

ACORD (www.acord.org), the insurance industry's standards and technology organization, has elected three new members to its Board of Directors. The announcements were made by ACORD President and CEO Gregory A. Maciag. The new members are John Bruno, AON; Joe Dainty, Lloyd's of London; and Stephen Kessler, MetLife.

"All three of our new Board members bring strong technology and insurance backgrounds to this role," said Maciag. "We are pleased to welcome them and we look forward to their guidance as ACORD continues its mission of creating efficiency and facilitating innovation for the global insurance industry."

Biographies of the three new Directors are below:

John Bruno

Executive Vice President, Enterprise Innovation and Chief Information Officer
AON
John Bruno joined Aon in September 2014 and is a member of the firm's Executive Committee. In this role, John is responsible for delivering industry-leading technology across Aon's Risk Solutions and HR Solutions businesses to support the firm's strategy to create valuable insight through data and analytics that empowers results for clients. John oversees over 8,000 professionals globally, driving world-class service delivery, productivity, collaboration and business model innovation across the firm.

Joe Dainty

Global Head of Operations
Lloyd's of London
Joe Dainty has over 20 years' experience in the insurance industry, initially as a Private Medical Insurance underwriter with BUPA and Guardian Health, before joining QBE in 1998 to manage a Private Medical Insurance team. He is currently working on developing a 5 year target operating model for the overall London Market.

Stephen Kessler

Senior Vice President, Information Technology
MetLife
Stephen Kessler is Vice President of Information Technology at MetLife, Inc. As a direct report to the CIO for application development, he is the Customer Relations Executive responsible for technology solutions delivery across all US based Retail, Group, Property & Casualty and Corporate Benefit Funding businesses. Mr. Kessler started his career with a NY based technology consulting firm as a computer programmer. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University.

John Leonard, President & CEO MEMIC, will continue in his role as Chairman of the ACORD Board; Sal Branca, Senior Vice President AIG, will continue as Finance Committee Chair; and Keith Savino, Chief Operating Officer Warwick Resource Group, LLC, will continue as Audit Committee Chair.
