Ctrack announces new security products at the inaugural TruckX held in Sandton today

Vehicle tracking and fleet management company, Ctrack, announces two new innovations to the fleet fraternity in an opening address at TruckX.

The first product provides an extra security precaution that keeps vehicles always visible in the presence of jamming conditions. “With jamming becoming a reality, we are now able to offer our customers the option of installing a non-GSM anti-jamming module with their tracking system to ensure continuous visibility helping to combat vehicle theft,” says Nick Vlok, CEO of DigiCore, supplier of Ctrack.

The second is an insurance product that keeps every employee covered in the event of an accident. Recognising that many fleet owners do not have benefits in place for their drivers in an event of an accident, Ctrack has developed an insurance product called the Ctrack Fleet Protector, in conjunction with Loyalty Life, International SOS and Hollard. “This new product gives around the clock access to an emergency call centre with transport costs covered and hospital acceptance guaranteed up to R100,000”, says Vlok. Some of the other benefits include hospitalisation, accidental medical expenses, roadside assistance, relocation cost and traffic and fine assistance. “This means that any employee travelling in an insured vehicle is automatically covered in the event of an accident”, concludes Vlok.

Both products deemed as industry firsts have been developed to address real issues that fleet operators and owners come up against recently.
