Cartrack Recovery Warranty Launch

Cartrack has launched a brand new and innovative offering, the Cartrack Recovery Warranty, to the Stolen Vehicle Recovery and Fleet Management industry.

What does “Recovery Warranty” mean?

As of Saturday 15 April, any client that purchases an Executive Plus or Fleet Management Plus vehicle tracking or fleet management product at our standard retail subscription price will automatically be covered by a special warranty. There is no extra cost. Cartrack’s warranty is that, in the unlikely event that we do not recover a client’s vehicle, we will pay the client a lump sum of R10 000.00 or 10% of the then current retail value of the vehicle (whichever is the lesser).

Clearly, certain basic conditions apply, but these are simple conditions that would be normal for any warranty of this nature. We do not intend to make the conditions either complex or onerous. The idea is to pay out against the warranty where a vehicle is not recovered under genuine circumstances. In brief, the limitations or exclusions from the warranty are the following:

* Where the circumstance of the theft incident suggest fraud is involved
* Where the client is in arrears in his account payments
* Undue delays in reporting the theft or the vehicle was stolen while outside RSA
* The unit was not periodically tested in terms of the standard terms and conditions or the unit was identified as non functional, but the client had not given Cartrack reasonable opportunity to repair the unit
* Mini bus taxis are excluded due to the nature and circumstances of this business and the uncontrollable risk factor

This is a first in South Africa and we are proud to be so confident in our technology and service that we can be so bold as to offer this Recovery Warranty to our clients. We are the only tracking company to put our money where our mouth is.
