14 August 2007 | Non-life | General | Resolution

Resolution, the driving force behind the Resolution Health Medical Scheme which has developed into one of the country's fastest growing open medical schemes with more than 40,000 principal members and over 110,000 beneficiaries, has launched a new and innovative motor and household insurance product that is set to revolutionize the manner in which quotations are sourced throughout the market.

The new product, called Resolution 1st for Motor and Household, is part of Resolution's diversification into other markets and will introduce state-of- the-art software that will enable brokers to provide clients with comprehensive quotations from nine reputable insurers in just over one minute.

The system is also completely integrated with that of the insurers, thus ensuring that once a client has selected the preferred quotation, this information is relayed to the relevant insurer in real time via an integrated communication system.

A call centre agent can then speedily contact the client to finalize the insurance contract.  The client can furthermore be faxed or e-mailed the comprehensive list of quotations for reference as the deal is being closed.

The insurers that are associated with Resolution 1st for Motor and Household are among the country's major players and include: Mutual and Federal; Santam; New National; Centrique; Hollard and Hollard Pay As You Drive; Cross Country from SA Eagle; Auto and General; Alexander Forbes-Easy Sure; and Regent.
