Inscon clients can now 'rest insured' with Santam Namibia
Santam Namibia, leading short-term insurer in Namibia for the past 50 years, has taken over all active policies of Inscon Insurance as of 1 July, following the announcement that the insurer has been placed under curatorship. This implies that Santam accepts liability to these active policyholders from 1 July 2007.
Simon Steyn, Inscon's appointed curator, says an agreement was reached between Santam and the curators after lengthy discussions. "The discussions were very positive and the Santam management team is geared to assist policyholders with any queries that might arise."
Riaan Louw, Santam Namibias CE, says all former Inscon policyholders can be assured of utmost professionalism and commitment from Santam staff in ensuring that clients receive premier service and a wide product offering. "We look forward to establishing good relationship with clients."
All policyholders will in due course be receiving a Santam policy schedule. All Personal and Commercial policyholders can report claims, occurring on or after 1 July directly to Santam Windhoek or preferably to their brokers.
Legal Challenge clients can report any legal assistance or possible claims directly to the 24/7 Santam Legal Assistance Centre (0800 304 988).
