Centriq's UMA partnership with Aquarius
Centriq, South Africa’s first black empowered risk finance insurance group officially announced its underwriting partnership with Aquarius Underwriting Managers in January this year.
“Aquarius underwrites the personal lines sector of the market. The main policy is a domestic policy which caters for high net worth individuals. Aquarius also has separate products that are able to insure high value vehicles as well as artworks,” says Centriq business development executive, Martin Le Roux (pictured right).
“We are pleased with the partnership,” says Centriq CEO, Michael Blain, adding that the relationship provides Centriq access to another UMA in a highly developed segment of the market.
Centriq’s other underwriting management relationships include a broad spectrum of specialised insurance segments such as specialised liability, engineering and construction, motor vehicle insurance, agricultural insurance, excess buy down cover, financial lines liability products (including directors and officers, employment practice liabilities, pension fund trustees and related products), professional indemnity cover, specialist motor and commercial as well as high net worth personal lines.
Centriq’s underwriting management model entails mutual benefit and empowerment. “We treat our business partners accordingly, allowing them the freedom to operate without any undue interference from our side,” concludes Le Roux.
