Since its establishment in 1995, Beyonda has been committed to excellence - on every possible level; in every possible way … This business outlook has helped them to achieve the market leader status they enjoy in the niche field of excess buy down cover, predominantly in the specialised field of transport insurance today.
“What we start with passion, we finish with excellence - and that has always been our recipe for success,” says Leneke van Jaarsveld, executive director of Beyonda Group. That is also why service excellence is guaranteed … “Our commitment to brilliant execution is evident in the superior service levels we maintain.”
She adds that relationships are at the centre of everything they do. “When you treat clients like partners and nothing less, as well as nurture the relationships you build with the very best, mind-blowing potential is unleashed.”
This mind set also applies to the company’s product offerings. In true Beyonda spirit, they have evolved with the transport market over the years, ensuring that the niche products they provide go hand in glove with the underlying comprehensive product offerings of short-term insurance policies.

Niche and tailor-made products the company has developed and perfected over the years include:
The products, which form part of Beyonda’s Topsure range, assist clients with their cash-flow in times of need. “As such, products were carefully researched, developed and designed to be cost-effective whilst providing clients with peace of mind.” And as expected from a leader in the field, quotations are customised, and based on the claims history, fleet size, risks insured etc. of respective clients.
Standing the test of time
“We at Beyonda continue to build on the company’s strong foundation and excellent reputation. We are proud of our Beyonda heritage and we respect the hard work and expertise of each and every Beyonda member before us,” says Leneke. Nicola Knipe founded Beyonda in 1995, and it was under her guidance that Beyonda pioneered niche excess buy down standalone products in the late nineties.
Gerhard de Bruin, who today needs no introduction to role players in the insurance industry, bought the company in 2005, entrenching Beyonda’s footprint in the market place by creating even more innovative products and operating from the viewpoint that it is not always about doing extraordinary things, but doing ordinary things extraordinary well.
Today, Beyonda is 100% owned by Centriq Insurance Company with Leneke van Jaarsveld at the helm.
Potential needs a partner
“Together with the wisdom, knowledge and experience of the past 20 years, we are taking hands with the broker market and building even stronger relationships,” comments Leneke. She is very excited about the future of insurance. “I feel privileged to be involved in the industry at a time when there is so much innovation and opportunities.”
She adds that Beyonda will be focusing a lot on creating awareness around their unique product offerings this year. “We have a lot of value to add in terms of the products we have developed in conjunction with industry leaders over the years,” says Leneke.
