1985

Stalker Hutchison & Associates was founded by Angus Hutchison and Tony Stalker as a local Broad Form Liability alternative to the Lloyd’s of London market.

2000

The SHA family had grown to 70 staff and the Santam partnership was born.

2005

The group rebranded as SHA. Staff members grew and the premium income reached R700 million.
2008- SHA merged with Admiral Underwriting Group and changed to Stalker Hutchison Admiral, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Santam.

2013

The dawn of the complete relaunch of SHA.

2014

Mirabilis nominated SHA for the Neknomination. On the 20th May, in just under 3 hours SHA staff made 1180 snack packs that were distributed to the designated school. SHA staff took on the Ice Bucket Challenge and donated the proceeds to the Joost van der Westhuizen - J9 Foundation.

2015

SHA is as vibrant and as focused as ever, taking the company to new heights. SHA staff are from now on known as the ‘SHAndukians’. SHA now has 135 staff members. SHA gets a pool table and all the staff have to take part in a fun but compulsory pool competition.

10% of the people in the company have worked at SHA since the 1980s. SHA launched ‘through the steering wheel’ dedicated to liability issues. SHA is one of the first Insurance Apprentice 2015 sponsors.
