Pressure relief…

21 March 2005 Angelo Coppola

Old Mutual Group Assurance has announced that 700 000 of its policy members and their families are now eligible for a variety of benefits and assistance under its new Funeral Support Service (FSS).

"The essence of the service is that it provides support when it's most needed," Ndivhuwo Ravele, Group Assurance Executive Consultant said. “This service helps smooth the way and ensure that these tasks are handled professionally on their behalf."

The service applies to principal members of Old Mutual's South African Group Life and Family Cover policies and their immediate families, and will be offered at no additional cost.

Old Mutual Group Schemes has been offering a similar service to 1.4 million of its policyholders since January 1999. This rollout to Old Mutual Group Assurance's Group Life and Family Cover customer base is part of an "ongoing effort to add value to our products", Ravele said.
