ProfileData & Financial Express launch Analytics in SA

21 August 2008 Profile Media, Tracey Wise, tracey@profile.co.za

ProfileData, the electronic data division of the Profile Group, announced today the official launch of Analytics for the South African market.

Analytics, a leading unit trust analysis application, dominates the UK market, outselling  competing terminal products two to one. A browser-based solution, Analytics has rapidly captured market share with powerful functionality, instant automatic updates, ease of use, maintenance-free operation, off-site storage and competitive pricing.

Developed by UK-based Financial Express, Analytics includes fund comparison and
analysis tools, portfolio modelling, composite benchmarks, and user-defined
presentations and reports. The South African version incorporates local fund
information supplied by ProfileData, updated daily.

ProfileData brings Analytics to the South African market as part of a broader jointventure between Financial Express and the Profile Group. Financial Express, the largest distributor of fund data in the UK, also supplies webtools, ratings and factsheets.

The South African version of Analytics is available in both retail and institutional versions. Users have the option of two universes: the domestic SA universe only (which includes the FSB registered offshore funds), or the full Financial Express universe of some 90 000 funds.
