Nedgroup Investments today announced that they will be changing the prefix to the names of their range of collective investment schemes (unit trust funds) from Nedbank to Nedgroup Investments with effect from 1 February 2007.
Nic Andrew, Head of Nedgroup Investments says: "Following the South African Reserve Bank's requirement that we change the name of our unit trust Manager to Nedgroup Collective Investments (due to the Banks Act, 94 of 1990 prohibiting the use of the word 'bank' by non-banking entities), we will now also be changing the prefix to the names of our range of collective investment schemes (unit trust funds) from Nedbank to Nedgroup Investments, with effect from 1 February 2007. By way of example, effective 1 February 2007, the Nedbank Rainmaker Fund will be renamed the Nedgroup Investments Rainmaker Fund and the Nedbank Money Market, the Nedgroup Investments Money Market Fund."
