STANLIB dominates key fund management categories

Results at the investment industry 'Oscars' have showcased continuing out-performance by STANLIB in two key areas for unit trust-holders - fixed interest products and international investments.
The country's largest unit trust company picked up a clutch of awards in these categories at last night's (Wed Jan 31) Raging Bull Awards in Johannesburg.

The accolades - bestowed annually by Personal Finance - are among the most keenly contested in the unit trust and fund management sector. 
STANLIB fund managers in the spotlight were Henk Viljoen, head of the multi-award winning fixed interest team, Paul Hansen, director of retail investment, and Kent Grobbelaar, manager of international portfolios at Stanlib.

Raging Bull awards (for the three years ended 31 December 2006) were awarded to:
The STANLIB Bond Fund (managed by Henk Viljoen) for
Best Domestic Fixed Interest Fund,
Best Domestic Fixed Interest Bond Fund and
Best Fixed Interest Bond Fund on a Risk-Adjusted Basis (five years),

STANLIB Income Fund (managed by Henk Viljoen) for
Best Domestic Fixed Interest Income Fund.

The STANLIB European Fund of Funds (managed by Paul Hansen) for
Best Foreign (SA-domiciled) Equity Fund and
Best Foreign Equity General Fund on a Risk-Adjusted Basis (five years) 

STANLIB Offshore Australia Fund for
Best Offshore Far East Equity General Fund.
The STANLIB International Aggressive Fund of Funds (managed by Kent Grobbelaar) for
Best Foreign Asset Allocation Flexible Fund on a Risk Adjusted Basis (5 years).
